As we age we naturally start to stiffen in our joints. To combat this we need to keep moving. You’ve heard it said.
“Use it or Lose it”. Stretching of all types have been used to loosen up stiff joints and keep us moving as we get older for centuries. There are many types of stretching programs such as palates, Tai chi, yoga etc.
In this class our objectives are to maintain our bodies the best we can by keeping it moving. This will help keep our bodies strong, flexible and fit for life. You will also learn to control the everyday stresses with ease.
You will experience major positive changes throughout your body, very quickly with only 30-40 minutes devoted every day.
Make a change!
Life stretch can help with not only the following, but many other issues as well:
If you are a senior, regular lifetime stretch practice (2-3 times/week) can play an important part in keeping you healthy, because daily stretching helps to:
• Reduce swelling in joints
• Increase joint mobility and strength
• Improve balance and stability
• Reduce chances of having a fall
• Improve cardiovascular health
• Aid digestion and elimination
• Improve sleep
• Lower blood pressure and cholesterol
• Improve blood flow
• Improve mood and well-being
• Recovery from surgery
• Aid in the grieving process
• With depression and anxiety
Another great benefit is the emotional stability and a positive mental outlook that you will experience, if you apply yourself diligently to daily practice. This happens because as we start to feel better about ourselves we automatically have more positive and stable emotions.
This is true regardless of your age or present your physical condition!
Our format is a very simple plan & is meant to be slow and relaxing.
TO FEEL YOUR BEST!
Most of the practice days consist of:
Each day’s exercises are arranged so that the sequence of the movements are performed first in a standing position, then sitting and finally lying.
